Violin and piano recital presented Jan. 24
BOONE—Nancy Bargerstock and Bair Shagdaron will present a recital of works for violin and piano Jan. 24 at Appalachian State University.
The recital begins at 8 p.m. in Broyhill Music Center’s Rosen Concert Hall. Admission is free.

Saxophonist Scott Kallestad performs Jan. 23 at Appalachian
BOONE—Scott Kallestad, a saxophonist and assistant professor at Appalachian State University, will present a recital Jan. 23 at 8 p.m. in Broyhill Music Center’s Rosen Concert Hall.
Kallestad is a member of the Mariam Cannon Hayes School of Music. His performance will feature soprano and alto saxophones. Pianist Susan Slingland will provide accompaniment.
