Today is the first day of the Spring Share-A-Thon for Ebeneezer Christian Children's Home on 3WC. The Ebeneezer web site explains the history and vision of the organization.
The Spring Share-A-Thon emphasis is to raise funds for an office on the Ebenezer property, to move their offices out of the basement of one of the existing homes. If you'd like to pledge, call now at 838-99-92, or drop your contribution in the buckets at major local intersections, or simply drop by and have a hot dog for lunch today at Wal-Mart. You can also contribute by going online at www.egchh.org.
"In 1994 it began as a vision. We saw hurting children who had been removed from their natural homes for various reasons. Why not join forces and build a home when home is not an option? It began just like this. It is amazing how God put the right people in touch with each other. These people began raising money to purchase the existing home on Byrd Ridge Road and the 200+ acres that will allow us to grow as God leads. Many people began to see the vision. This dream has continued to spread. Through the gracious support of people who share the desire to do a great work in the lives of children, we have expanded beyond the original home and now have three homes, Genesis, Faith and Charity. And a fourth on the way, HOPE."
