Wilkesboro Police Ticket Pair for Drug Possession

Two Wilkes residents were ticketed for misdemeanor drug possession, after an officer pulled them over because their car windows were tinted so darkly. The Wilkesboro officer was patrolling Cub Creek Apartments when he saw the car about 2pm Monday. He pulled the car over, and as he asked the driver for his license, he thought he smelled alcohol in the car. the driver blew a .01 on a breath test, far from the legal limit, and easily explainable for a number of causes. The officer received permission to look through the car, and as he was having everyone get out, one person admitted to having a minor amount of marijuana on him. One of the other occupants, the car's owner Natasha Keels, said the officer would find more drugs in the ash tray. The officer located those, and ticketed both Keels and Ricky Ashlin for misdemeanor possession.
