Deputies have few leads to go on in the burglary of a Wilkes house yesterday afternoon. Patricia Wingler called deputies to her home on Old Highway 60 about 4 p-m, saying someone had apparently come in through the unlocked front door and stolen a number of items. They include several jars of change, a men's and women's white gold wedding ring set, an Ashe Central High school class of 1982 ring, a white gold and diamond anniversary ring, and two other rings. Total estimated value of the theft is over 43-hundred dollars. Neither neighbors or a construction crew working nearby report seeing anything out of place yesterday. The case remains under investigation.
