Ronda’s 100th Birthday

It's a big weekend for Ronda, as the community celebrates its Centennial. Ronda was actually incorporated in February 1907, but planners of the celebration figured it would be a better event for all to have it on a summer weekend than in the heart of winter. The two-day event starts tonight with an old-fashioned social , and then the main activities are tomorrow, and start with a parade at 10. After the parade there will be a number of events, according to Rebbecca Johnson of Save Wilkes, including the Cruise-In -- an automobile show -- plus carriage and stage coach rides, and a number of performers. The celebration runs from 10 to 4 tomorrow.
