Parts Stolen, Thief Arrested

A man being arrested for stealing car parts was also found to have drugs on his person, leading to additional charges. 25-year old Billy Walker was arrested over the weekend after he was seen loading car wheels and other parts into his pickup. Johnny Denny says he confronted Walker when he saw the crime happening, but was told the parts belonged to Walker. Denny knew differently, and noted the tag number of Walker's pickup. By the time Walker got home, a deputy was waiting outside and confronted him. There was none of the property in the pickup, but Denny was able to identify Walker as the man he'd seen loading the parts. As he was being frisked following his arrest, drugs and a concealed weapon were found on Walker. He faces a charge of Felony Theft, one of carrying a concealed weapon, and three possession charges.
