Car Reported Stolen

While deputies have the name of a possible suspect in a recent car theft, they are still looking for him and the vehicle. The stolen Ford Contour was reported yesterday evening by Ramon Diaz, a resident of Miller's Creek. He says a man had offered to buy his car, but he had told the man it was not for sale. Diaz says he woke up on Saturday, and saw the car was missing. He admits he had left the keys in the car Friday night. The crime report does not say why Diaz waited two days to report the crime. The missing car is a 1997 gold Ford Contour four-door. It has been entered in the national crime database, and deputies are on the lookout for the suspected thief, whose name they are not releasing at this time.
