Morning Wreck Hurts 3

Three women suffered minor injuries this morning in a wreck in front of Foster's Garage on Highway 268. According to the highway patrol, Loula Davis Baldwin of North Wilkesboro was eastbound on 268 this morning and turned left just in front of the vehicle driven by Bonnie Sue Peters of Thurmon. The cars struck nearly head-on, but in spite of that, the drivers and a passenger in Baldwin's car, Betty Burchett, were all taken by ambulance to Wilkes Regional Medical Center for treatment. Baldwin received a ticket for failing to yield the right-of-way. A trooper says she didn't see the other car because of the rain.
