An event not to miss this weekend: The Wilkes 230th birthday celebration tomorrow night at 6 at the Stone Center in North Wilkesboro. Dennis Huggins with the Save our History Project says there will be a number of things to see and do -- including enjoying a piece of the birthday cake -- complete with 230 candles!
