Update: TV Thief Arrested, Admits Crime

The 19-year old accused of taking the Wilkesboro Fire Department's 42-inch LCD TV in February has turned himself in. Wilkesboro police say Zachary Robert Testerman of Millers Creek turned himself in last night after learning of the warrant that had been issued for his arrest. Officers say after Testerman was read his rights, he gave a statement admitting to taking the TV, which was in the workout room at the fire department, one weekend evening in late February. He said he had help from another teen, 19-year old Joshua Minton of Moravian Falls, had been with him both when he stole the set and when he sold it. Warrants have been issued for Minton. Testerman was booked and given a 15-hundred dollar secured bond, and is scheduled for a court appearance May 14th.
