News, Wilkes, Wilkes County, Wilkesboro

Wilkes deputies arrested two suspects in the burglary of a Moravian Falls business late last week. In a report released yesterday, deputies say they were called to MKB Enterprises on Thursday. Employees there reported the theft of more than 23-hundred dollars worth of property including three window air conditioners, a 6-thousand watt generator, and a large cannister of freon. A neighbor says he saw two people go into the business with bolt cutters and carrying gloves about 1am that day, and later walk out, get into a car and leave. Deputies identified two suspects, who were arrested for trespassing, breaking and entering, possession of burglary tools and a number of other crimes. One of the suspects is identified as 21-year old James Edward Miller; the other person is not identified in the report. All the property has been recovered, including the generator which had been pawned by the time deputies contacted the suspects.
