Xterra Found, Theft Still Being Investigated

Wilkesboro police have found the Nissan Xterra reported stolen over the weekend from a convenience store parking lot. It was found by the person who reported it stolen, Jenny Pennington. She and a relative were out looking for the vehicle, she tells police, and found it behind the MIllers Creek Methodist Church in a location that can't be seen from Indian Hill Road. No damage is reported to the vehicle and it has been returned to the owner, Mary Eller, who is Pennington's mother. Police say they are continuing their investigation of everything surrounding the case.
