Police Issue Warrant in SUV Theft Case

Wilkesboro police have issued a warrant for the arrest of a person in connection with the theft of a Nissan Xterra last weekend. The woman, whose first name was given as Lori by the victim of the theft, Jenny Pennington, lives near where the Xterra was found early this week. That was behind MIllers Creek Methodist Church on Indian Hill Road. Pennington had given "Lori" a ride early Saturday and had come out from using the restroom at a local convenience store to find the SUV missing. She picked the woman, whose name has not been released pending her arrest, out of a lineup earlier today.
