BOONE—Poet Shirlette Ammons will read from her work Dec. 4 at Appalachian State University. Her presentation is sponsored by the Hughlene Bostian Frank Visiting Writers Series.

BOONE – Leigh Ann Henion has been named editor in chief of Appalachian State University’s literary magazine The Cold Mountain Review.
Henion’s appointment occurs during a pivotal period, as CMR expands its repertoire to include creative nonfiction and short fiction, in addition to poetry and photography.
