Freshmen move to campus Aug. 22

BOONE—More than 2,750 freshmen will move into their residence hall rooms at Appalachian State University on Friday, Aug. 22. Move-in activities will begin at 10 a.m. and continue until 4 p.m.

Appalachian hosts first Wayne County Weekend

BOONE—High school students from Wayne County who each have received a scholarship to attend Appalachian State University recently participated in the university’s first Wayne County weekend.
Lawrence Richardson, Savalius Swain and Sierra Howell each have received a $20,000 Freshman Class Scholarship for Wayne County.
