Tickets for “Music on the Mountain,” Boone’s large-scale music festival, organized by students at Appalachian State University, are on sale at www.musiconthemountain.net. The festival will be held Aug. 23 at 748 Roby Green Rd., at the Old Fair Grounds just off old Hwy 421 east in Watauga County.

BOONE—The Appalachian Chorale celebrates its 33rd year and invites all interested singers to attend rehearsals and participate in any or all of three concerts scheduled for the 2008-09 season.
