A 27-year old Wilkes woman was taken to the hospital and ticketed for reckless driving following a crash yesterday morning in front of Mountain View School. Jessica Renee Jennings was southbound on Traphill Road and took the curve in front of the school, sliding off the right-hand side of the road and through two fences in front of the school before coming to rest. Contrary to a witness statement that she was driving about 70, a trooper estimated her speed at the time she left the road at the marked limit of 35 miles an hour. Her 1994 Mitsubishi suffered significant front end damage and had to be towed from the scene. She was taken by ambulance to Wilkes Regional Medical Center with potentially serious injuries.
